Welcome to Jess Bailey Clinical Psychology Coffs Harbour
Helping you feel supported in a calm and non-judgemental, space. Your space.
Research shows that the most important element in therapy is not actually which therapy style is used, it’s that the client feels supported by their therapist. That is what you will find with me. Complete support in a space where you feel you can say anything and know you won’t be judged. Then together we use evidence based strategies to work on getting better.
What happens in session?
I work with children aged 5-12 years old, and women over 12 years, in a warm and friendly collaborative session to help improve your wellbeing. With kids we use practical and fun approaches to help them feel excited to come to sessions, while also learning some really valuable skills. And parents learn with me too, how to support their young ones.
With adults we work by talking through challenges, understanding what it is you want to talk about and work on and how we can make that happen.
After each session you’ll receive a summary of everything we talked about to help you remember. In session we talk about strategies you can try at home, and those ideas are all sent to you in your summary to help you get the most out of coming.
This is me, Jess Bailey - Clinical Psychologist.
I’ve been working in private practice in Coffs Harbour for over 10 years.
If you are ready to start working on making changes then you’ve come to the right place.
I have a Masters of Clinical Psychology and I work using cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), DBT, ACT and positive psychology. I believe in finding your values, taking action towards them, and taking small steps that you can achieve and feel proud of. Each little change is one more step towards your goal.
My aim is for you to feel valued, comfortable, open, heard, and to ultimately start feeling better.
In our sessions we will work together to find the therapy and strategies that work best for you. This means I won’t just follow one therapy style but might switch between them in the session or throughout our work. It also means sometimes we might do lots of talking to further our understanding of who you are and what triggers you or helps you, and at other times we might delve in to more teaching and learning style sessions.
If you’re ready to get started, head to the book now page, or scroll down to contact me, and book in a session.
The first step is probably the scariest, but it gets easier.
Mindfulness is about being in the moment, being open to experiences and allowing yourself to be fully present.
